In the early days all your baby wants is you – all day and everyday. These items soothe, occupy and engage your little one so you can free up some time for yourself to tick something off those never ending to do lists. To be noted, for some of these items listed below your baby is recommended to be at least 3 months old, the product description will give you the exact guidance.
1. Baby Swing/Rocker: this gets the number one spot! This gentle swing has different speed and lullaby settings to help soothe your baby. It can either swing or rock them whilst you get on with your day – much better than the traditional bouncer which you have to move with your foot. Our daughter loved this and really saved us for nap times!
2. Baby Gym: There are a thousand types of baby gyms out there but this brand is great! It has so many features from detachable toys, musical melodies, different languages and a piano your baby can play with their feet. We found the different items kept her occupied and engaged and she would learn to play with a new feature every week so it was a good long term investment over a basic one.
3. Baby Snug Seat: we got this as a gift and started using it when our daughter started supporting her head. It encouraged her to sit up on her own and she loved the different toys! It provided great support and we used it on the table so she could sit with us at meal times and she eventually had her first meal sitting in it! Great seat to start weaning!
4. Sensory box: This handy box comes with all the things to really promote your baby’s physical and brain development. From the early use of black and white cards to soft feathers and baby maracas – this cute set of items gave us a really nice bonding floor activity to do with our baby and get excited everytime she learnt something new!
5. Jumperoo: This colourful activity centre encouraged our daughter to develop her motor skills to jump and reach. It had a 360 rotating seat so she could play with all the different toys around her and it was height adjustable so easily adapted as she grew!
